The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association has announced the impending retirement of Regulatory Director, Dr Paul Jackson and the appointment of his replacement, Nicola Jones. 

Paul will be leaving his role in December this year, before a 3-month hand over period with Nicola, beginning in September when she assumes her new position. 

BAMA Chief Executive, Patrick Heskins says: “During his nearly 30-year career with BAMA, Paul has not only made an immense contribution to the association, but to the aerosol industry as a whole. The team at BAMA wish him all the very best for his well-earned next chapter.”

Nicola Jones completes a successful 27-year career at Tata Steel UK. In her most recent position, she led market and business development across all sectors, aligning products with sustainability and recycling principles, taking value propositions from concept to commercialisation, and representing the organisation at key European conferences. 

Nicola has played a significant role in advancing industry policy, bringing her expertise to the Advisory Committee for Packaging, Chairing the MPMA PR Committee, and serving as a Committee Member of Steel for Packaging Europe’s Sustainability Working Group. She has also been recognised in a number of industry awards including ‘Global Recycling Champion’ and UK Packaging ‘Woman of the year 2024’.

Nicola says: “I am looking forward to starting this new era in my career and adding measurable value to the work BAMA does. Having been actively involved with trade associations, it’s a pleasure to be working with a flagship association, widely acknowledged for strengthening aerosol industry standards and working hard for a diverse membership base.

“Having known Paul professionally for over 20 years, it’s a privilege to be taking the reins from such a respected member of the aerosol community, and I extend my best wishes to him for his upcoming retirement.”
